Beta Terms

Iapetus is in beta. This page says, in plain language, what that means for you. It supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

What you get

Every account registered during the beta receives a free Pro license for 3 months, counted from your registration. No credit card, no usage meter. When it expires you choose: keep using Iapetus on the free Community plan, or move to a paid plan.

The founder discount, in writing

Every account registered before our paid launch gets 50% off the first year of any paid plan. This promise is honored indefinitely — whenever you decide to subscribe, it applies. It is our thank-you for trying pre-release software.

What "beta" means

Iapetus is pre-release software. Things may break, change, or be removed between versions. It is provided as is, without warranty of any kind — don't run anything on it you can't afford to lose, and keep backups of data you care about. Our documentation aims to describe exactly what the current version does, nothing more.

Email we send you

We email you to verify your address, deliver your license, and remind you about 14 days before your beta license expires. During the beta we may also send occasional product updates — at most around one per week, usually far fewer. Every non-essential email has an unsubscribe link.

Feedback

If you send us feedback, bug reports, or diagnostics bundles, you let us use them to improve Iapetus without obligation to you. Diagnostics are only ever sent when you export and share them yourself — the app phones nothing home beyond license activation.

Leaving

You can stop any time. To delete your account and data, email support@iapetus.dev — see the Privacy Policy for details on what we store and for how long.
